Burnley & District Tennis League

2017 Season

Welcome to another season of league tennis.

The Committee decided that due to certain problems that occurred during last season that the Annual General Meeting should be brought foward, so that issues were still fresh in peoples minds. The A.G.M. was held on 17th November 2016.

At the A.G.M. it was decided that as most people have access to the internet there was no need to publish the handbooks. The handbooks will be downloadable and printable. This will save time, effort and paper

Some of the rules were also changed and these can be accessed on the main web page.

Results must be entered by the home team within 7 days of the fixture being played and verified by the away team. If you have any problems contact your division secretary. This will give players a better idea of how they are placed in their divisions.

The league starts on 17th April and hopefully with a good summer we will manage to get all the results in by the 17th September. The Committee meeting on the 21st September will decide the final league tables.

Log on and take a look.

On behalf of the Management Committee we would like to thank all who have advertised in the handbook.

Please remember that whilst the league is competitive, it should also be friendly and give you an opportunity to make new friends.

Finally on behalf of the Management Committee, best wishes for 2017 and enjoy the coming season.
